City Dress Up: Seats．Together
文化後花園
公共空間在香港十分珍貴，市民卻難以善用，如何打破局限？我們運用幾何圖案設計出色彩繽紛、不同高度且類型各異的公共家具，方便大眾按需要用作休息、活動或交流的平台；亦可以藉舉辦工作坊去推廣創意文化和綠色環保體驗，讓運動愛好者及表演藝術家皆可享用「文化後花園」，成為城中促進多元分享的公共空間。
作品由康樂及文化事務署的藝術推廣辦事處舉辦之「城市藝裳計劃：樂坐其中」委約製作。
Cultural Backyard
In a city as dense as Hong Kong, public space is no doubt a precious community resource, but just how effective is this asset being used by the public?
Trying to answer this question, we have designed a series of colorful geometrical shaped furniture that are placed around Mody Road Garden for people to interact with and organise events around. These new objects will also be the centerpiece of a campaign that involves a slew of workshops and events to raise public awareness on sustainable living as well as arts and culture. Cultural Backyard is meant to transform public space into a platform for sports and performance enthusiasts to gather and interact.
The artwork was commissioned under the “City Dress Up: Seats．Together” of the Art Promotion Office, Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
